Josie moved to Bend in 2014 and quickly fell in love with the quality of life and access to the outdoors. She spent nine years at The Conservation Alliance working with businesses to fund and advocate for the protection of open spaces and wild places. Today, she is a consultant specializing in community-driven philanthropy and supporting brands in the outdoor industry working to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion. She joined the travel and tourism industry as a board member for the Adventure Travel Conservation Fund in 2015, and currently serves as an advisor for the Bend Sustainability Fund. She loves volunteering with Oregon Adaptive sports, eating take-out while watching the sunset from the butte behind her house in SW Bend, traveling, and playing outside with her girlfriends and her partner Chris.
