Spring runs at Mt. Bachelor

Mt Bachelor has one of the longest seasons North America, lasting from around Thanksgiving each year through Memorial Weekend. Bend's beloved ski hill is famous for its bluebird days throughout spring. Check their website for deals, multi-day tickets, and spring passes.

Enjoy a romp with your furry friend at one of the dog-friendly Sno-Parks near Bend. Snow sticks around well into spring, especially at the higher elevations, while the crowds dwindle. Sno-Park pass required through April 30.

Bend’s unpredictable spring weather is a built-in excuse to enjoy more indoorsy activities. Spend the day at the High Desert Museum where you can get an underwater view of otters, learn about raptors and other wildlife, as well as explore some of the history and culture of Central Oregon.

When the weather begins to warm, it’s a pleasure to amble between shops during First Friday Art Walk, check out the art in Tin Pan Alley, or watch for birds on the Deschutes River Trail. Spring is a great time to walk from brewery to brewery collecting Bend Ale Trail stamps.

When springtime rolls around, trout in the nearby rivers start feeding more aggressively, practically tripping over one another to hop on the end of your line. Get your license, check conditions, and bring a net.
