Over 80 years ago, 16 school teachers in Oregon got together to create a safe place save their money and to provide low-cost loans for those looking to build a better life for themselves and their families. From these humble beginnings, OnPoint Community Credit Union has grown to be the largest community-owned financial institution in Oregon with over 340,000 loyal members and growing all the time. The organization is much larger, to be sure, but the mission is the same; to promote the financial well-being of its members and to ensure the safety and soundness of the credit union.
