In 1949, six friends in Springfield, Oregon got together and put $50 in a lunchbox; later that year, they made their first loan and planted the roots of what is now Northwest Community Credit Union. Today, the institution has over 100,000 members and 17 physical branches have taken the place of the lunchbox, but the company still holds to its core values of providing everyone with the courtesy, dignity, and respect they deserve.
