Acrobatic dinner and show combo will thrill your tummy and your mind!

Tower Theatre at night

Some things just pair perfectly together. Chocolate and peanut butter. Beer and pizza. Toothpaste and orange juice. Dinner and a show.

While you can certainly indulge in all those things in Bend, Oregon on any given night, you can enjoy the latter in spectacular fashion if you’re here March 10 or 11.

Bend’s scrumptious restaurant and sushi bar 5 Fusion has teamed up with Tower Theatre to offer a special dinner and show combination for just $45 a person.

Here’s the deal – Tower Theatre is bringing in the Golden Dragon Acrobats from Hebei, China. These guys showcase the best in ancient acrobatic tradition with rigorous routines, ancient music, and costumes and choreography reminiscent of Cirque du Soleil. The show starts at 7:30 both nights, offers two full hours of action, and is perfect for ages eight and up.

That’s cool enough on its own, right?

But check it out – 5 Spice is offering a special pre-show dinner that includes sushi, your choice of Mike’s Honey Firecracker Chicken or Steamed Halibut in Black Bean Sauce, and Di’s Homemade Black Forest Cake.

If you want the dinner and show combo, it’s just $45 a person.

Can’t do both? Show tickets alone range from $27-$32 (if you’re crunching the numbers at home right now, you’ll notice the dinner and show combo is a screamin’ deal).

I’ll go out on a limb and guess this will sell out fast. Though I’ve never seen the Golden Dragon Acrobats, I’ve seen similar performances in other venues and I can say without fear of contradiction that these guys will knock your socks off (hint: make sure your socks match and aren’t too smelly so you aren’t embarrassed to collect them at the end of the evening).

To reserve your spot for the dinner and show combo, call 541-323-2328. To buy tickets online for the show only, go here.

So will I see you there? If so, come say hello (and be sure to admire my clean, well-matched socks).
