5 Fusion & Sushi Bar is Bend’s newest sushi bar and the only Asian “fusion” style restaurant, located in downtown right next door to the Tower Theatre.

During the Visit Bend team visit, we were impressed by the minimal-meets-modern décor that added to the chic ambiance. Nothing about the service was minimal, however. All of the staff members were extremely friendly and attentive. Every need was attended to quickly with genuine enthusiasm and energy.

Nothing was overlooked – from the variety of specialty sushi rolls to interesting and delicious dishes such as Oolong Tea Glazed Sea Bass with Lemon Butter Noodles and the delicate Korean Marinated Natural Chicken Breast with Shitake Mushroom Risotto, Pickled Cucumber, and Sautéed Asparagus. dining-review-5-Fusion-2.jpgFavorite sushi rolls were the Hot Samurai Roll with spicy tuna poke, avocado, and cucumber topped with a jalapeno and spicy mayo and the Diablo Roll – a cornucopia of fresh fish and outright deliciousness! Our group also rated the cocktails as some of the finest spirits in town. 5 Fusion is the only restaurant in town where sushi lovers and the rest of us can dine together… Filet Mignon anyone?

A favorite for locals and visitors is the daily happy hour from 4:00 to 6:00 pm featuring $5 Happi Sushi Rolls (also the Late Owl menu from 9:30 pm to close Friday and Saturday is available to curb those late night sushi cravings). 5 Fusion & Sushi Bar is also open for lunch offering small plates, lunch entrees, and their full sushi menu.
