(BEND, Ore.)—Inthe midst of hosting a record nine USA Cycling national championships in fiveyears, Bend will once again play host to thelargest gathering of cyclocross racers in the US.
InOctober 2013, Bendwill host the third edition Halloween Cross Crusade Cyclocross Festival thatwill include the famous Halloween Cyclocross Crusades, the fifth annualClydesdale Championship of the Universe, and another legendary DeschutesBrewery Warehouse Party. The three-day festival will take place October 25-27throughout the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery property, and willfeature the following events:
- The legendary Halloween Cyclocross Crusades will take place at Deschutes Brewery in the Old Mill District on October 26 and 27. Witness the fun and mayhem of over 1,000 cyclocross racers donning Mardi Gras costumes and competing for Cross Crusade points. In addition to two days of epic racing, attendees will enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Deschutes Brewery beer garden, live music, and cultural food and festivities. - Friday night registration and packet pick-up party at Crow’s Feet Commons in Downtown Bend.
- The fifth annual Clydesdale Cyclocross Championship of the Universe will take place on Saturday night October 26 at Deschutes Brewery.
- Deschutes Brewery will host another not-to-be-missed warehouse party on Saturday night when they host their celebration of the Halloween holiday and all things Cyclocross with a New Orleans theme.
- The BTA (Bicycle Transportation Alliance) Kiddie Kross is a non-competitive event for kids 12 and under. Participants will be divided by age and bike type. There will be several courses and divisions for two-wheel bikes, tricycles, and bikes with training wheels. Parents should visit the bright green BTA tent for info and waiver signing.

- 12:25 p.m.: BTA Kiddie Kross in the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery.
- 7:30-8 p.m.: Clydesdale Championship of the Universe in the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery.
- 8 p.m.-2 a.m.: Deschutes Brewery Warehouse Party
SundayOctober 27
- 8 a.m.-4 p.m.: Halloween Cross Crusade races in the Old Mill District and Deschutes Brewery.
