On June 1, the Bend Ale Trail will celebrate its one year anniversary with a special giveaway.

Bend Ale Trail One Year Anniversary Celebration

While supplies last, anyone who brings a completed Bend Ale Trail passport to the Visit Bend office between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1 will receive a free Bend Ale Trail beer koozie. The koozie is in addition to the official commemorative Silipint pint glass guests already receive for completing the Bend Ale Trail.

Visit Bend launched the Bend Ale Trail last year to promote the city’s booming craft beer industry and to diversify Bend’s tourism offerings. Using a Bend Ale Trail Map and Passport, guests can track their route between Bend’s eight local breweries and earn prizes for visiting all of them.

“We’ve had over 1,400 visitors complete the Bend Ale Trail since it launched a year ago,” explained Lynnette Braillard, Marketing Director for Visit Bend. “It’s been a tremendous draw for tourists as well as Bend locals, and we’re thrilled to be able to celebrate the one year milestone with a giveaway.”

The anniversary comes just a week after Visit Bend released the new Bend Ale

Trail smartphone app for Android users. The free app has been available for iPhone users since February. Both travel apps can be downloaded free from www.bendaletrail.com and offer an interactive geolocation based map, one-touch access to brewery information, contact info for taxis, tours, and lodging, and even a quiz that lets users test their beer knowledge.

Bend Ale Trail fans who want to participate in the giveaway can pick up the Bend Ale Trail passport in the Visit Bend office, download it at www.bendaletrail.com, or find it inside copies of the Bend Discovery Map at locations throughout the city. Look for more anniversary specials happening on June 1 at The Bend Ale Trail facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/bendaletrail).

“This beer koozie giveaway is our way of thanking visitors and locals for making the Bend Ale Trail so successful in its first year of operation,” Braillard added. “With crowds coming to town for Memorial Day Weekend, we’re expecting a lot of guests going out and sampling the amazing craft brewery culture Bend has to offer.”

Only passports brought to the Visit Bend office on June 1 are eligible for the beer koozie giveaway. The Visit Bend office is located at 917 NW Harriman in Downtown Bend.
