Bend Oregon

The Most Diverse Selection of Neighborhoods

Eastside

East Bend has the most diverse selection of neighborhoods in the city. If you have your heart set on living in Bend, but Westside prices have sent you heading for the hills of Redmond or Madras, be sure to consider the convenience and proximity of Bend’s Eastside.

Living on the Eastside means that one of Bend’s most popular lookouts, Pilot Butte, is right out your back door. Hike to the top and take in views of Mount Bachelor, the Three Sisters and the Cascade Range in the distance. Finish your workout for the day by heading down the street to Juniper Swim & Fitness. This award-winning facility offers over 150 group fitness classes per week as well as a 3,000 sq. ft. fitness center and weight room and three pools including a 50-meter Olympic-sized pool.

There are a number of popular malls located on Bend’s eastside. The Forum Shopping Center has brand-name stores like Old Navy, Whole Foods, Costco and Barnes & Noble as well a variety of restaurants for quick bites and sit-down meals. At the Cascade Village Shopping Center off Highway 97, you’ll find everything from kitchen pantry staples to more exotic fare like imported cheese and wine. Cascade Village also has those must-have stores like Trader Joe’s, Staples, Best Buy and JCPenney.

St. Charles Medical Center, one of the best healthcare facilities in Oregon, is a short drive from most Eastside neighborhoods. There are also a number of brand-new schools in this area, and many can be reached on paved footpaths and sidewalks from neighboring developments. Parks abound on the eastside, including the 159-acre Pine Nursery Park which features soccer fields, baseball facilities, picnic shelter, a disc golf course, and the 14-acre Bob Wenger Memorial Off-Leash Area.
